Extremely rare WWII United States Army Harbor Defense of Portsmouth, New Hampshire fire department badge. The center of the badge features a fire fighters helmet, horn, hook, and ladder in raised detail and surrounding it reads: "H. D. OF PORTSMOUTH N. H. FIRE DEPT." and the top is an eagle with spread wings and a bowed head.

Circa WWII.

Approximately 2-1/4" in height x 1-1/2" in width.

Silver plated white metal., wartime shortages materials.

Vertical kick pin with 'C' style catch.
