Extremely Rare Ca 1918 WWI French Army 501st Special Artillery Regiment (Tanks) Insignia Badge

Extremely rare circa 1918 WWI French Army 501st Special Artillery Regiment (Tanks) insignia. The badge shows a nicely detailed, fire-breathing dragon in the center of a ring, half laurel leaves and half oak leaves joined together at the base in a bow with a gilt brass shield that shows: "AS" in intertwined, raised lettering.

Approximately 1-5/8" in diameter.

Stamped silvered & gilt brass.

Horizontal pin with 'C' type catch.

8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor wear, nearly all the gilt details remain intact, handsome patina in overall excellent condition.
