Description
Scarce WWI 104th Infantry Regiment badge or distinctive insignia in the shape of a flaming torch. The 104th, part of the 26th Yankee Division with a motto "FORTITUDE ET COURAGE" (Fortitude and Courage) fought from start to finish of WWI taking part in six major campaigns: Chemin Des Dames, Apremont, Campagne-Marne, Aisne Marne, St. Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne. In France, the 104th was engaged in heavy battle and experienced greatest number of casualties of the 26th Division.

SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" in height x 1-1/8" in width.

ATTACHMENT:Vertical 'T' style pin with tongue type C catch.
