Description
This is an extremely rare early Yale Artillery Battalion collar insignia or hat badge circa 191Organized the same year, the battalion was led by determined a USMA 1904 graduate, Captain Robert Melville Danford. Danford trained the unit without aid of horses or firepower, transforming them into a battalion ready for service when called up in June 191Eager to serve, the group was to spend more time training at a Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania camp. This diligent group eventually became the basis for Reserve Officers' Training Corps of Yale University.

SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height x 2-1/8" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Diagonal pin with tongue-style catch.
