ARTIFACT:

 This is an Extremely Rare 1910’s US Post Office Dispatcher Motor Vehicle Service Boston Badge # 212 by Robbins.

Even though numbered 212, It is highly unlikely that more than a handful of these Badge were made as this is the only one we’ve ever seen.

VINTAGE:

1910s.

SIZE:

Approximately: 1-5/8" in height x 1-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold wash Bronze with hard fired black enamel and Nickel findings.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, and the front center has scratch probably dropped on the floor, the back shows early numbers and great patina. Most of the gold wash is worn out. Overall, it is in excellent condition as in the 1910s.
