ARTIFACT: This is an engraved 1924-1925 medal for the Hamilton, Massachusetts American Legion post commander. The medal reads AMERICAN LEGION U.S. with a star at center and the three bars read POST COMMANDER and 1925 and 1924. The reverse is named and dated

VINTAGE: Circa 1924-1925.

SIZE: 3" height and 1-9/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Copper-plated brass medal with enamel and silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in swivel locking catch on brass bar; loop attachment to medal; bent pins securing bars to ribbon.

MARKINGS: MASS A.P. GARDNER POST 194 FINALY D. MACDONALD 1924-1925 and I. & R. CO. PAT. DEC. 1919.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a military veterans' group medal collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months.  VEX08 LHEX4/10 SHEX01/19

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): Medal is very handsomely tarnished with moderate wear.
