ARTIFACT:

This is a unique American Legion Drum Corps Past Commander medal from Keene, New Hampshire. The front of the medal shows an assortment of musical instruments, as well as a baton and bandleader's hat, while the bar reads PAST COMMANDER DRUM CORPS. On the reverse is etched the medal holder's name, post, location and date.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1934.

SIZE:

2-3/4" height and 1-1/2" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Bronze medal and plated brass bar with multi-colored silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with drop-in swivel catch on bar and loop attachment for medallion.

MARKINGS:

C.F. LEAHY GORDON BISSELL POST 14 KEENE, N.H. 1934.
