This is an early Japanese-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 23rd Infantry Regiment. The DI is a wonderful blue and white crest bearing a Knight's cross, a globe and a lion-serpent creature.
VINTAGE:Circa post-World War II era.
SIZE:1-1/16" height and 3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White metal with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with plastic disc backings.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX92 LDJX10/10
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): DI has some light abrasions.
