Description
This is a circa early 1960s United States Navy ship lighter for the USS Morton DD-94Launched May 23, 1958, the destroyer was very active in the Southeast Asian seas during the Vietnam War. The lighter was made by Penguin of Japan. It has a painted insignia on one side with the ship's motto: "Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum" (If you want peace, prepare for war).
VINTAGE:Circa early 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 2-1/16" in width and 3/8" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass, painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:To be carried in pocket to light up your smokes.
MARKINGS:P in circle; PENGUIN; JAPAN PENGUIN HIGH QUALITY SUPERLATIVE AUTOMATIC LIGHTER NO. 18250 on bottom.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The lighter is in excellent condition with some minor abrasions to the reverse.
