Early 1960s USN Ship USS Morton DD-948 Lighter by Penguin in Excellent Condition

This is a circa early 1960s United States Navy ship lighter for the USS Morton DD-94Launched May 23, 1958, the destroyer was very active in the Southeast Asian seas during the Vietnam War. The lighter was made by Penguin of Japan. It has a painted insignia on one side with the ship's motto: "Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum" (If you want peace, prepare for war).

Circa early 1960s.

Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 2-1/16" in width and 3/8" in thickness.

Chrome-plated brass, painted areas.

To be carried in pocket to light up your smokes.
