Description
This is a circa early 1960s United States Navy ship lighter for the USS Maury AGS-1N attack cargo ship, the Maury (formerly the USS Renate) was renamed July 12, 194The lighter was made in Japan by Vulcan and has an applied enameled insignia on the front.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 1-1/4" in width and 7/16" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge.
MARKINGS:Japan Vulcan PO Box 3252 S.F. Calif. on bottom.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The lighter has some areas of moderate to heavy wear on the front and bottom; only a small bit of enamel missing.
