This is an early 1950s bullion pilot wing for the British Overseas Airways Corporation, which flew from 1939 until it merged with British European Airways to form British Airways in 197The wing shows a winged lion at its center against a blue crest with a golden crown above him.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950's.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/16" in height x 3-5/8" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk threads with cotton backing.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
MARKINGS:None.
