Early 1940's British Overseas Airways Corporation BOAC Shoulder Title

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early 1940's shoulder title for British Overseas Airways Corporation, which flew from 1939 until it merged with BEA to form British Airways in 1971. The title is a simple arc reading BOAC in gold bullion.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1940's.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 3-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered in gold bullion.

ATTACHMENT:

Three metal snaps.
