Civil War Infantry Captain Uniform Buttons & Single Shoulder Board Found in Maine

Civil War Infantry Captain uniform buttons and single board found in Maine. Grouping includes five large size buttons and three smaller size, all removed from uniform, a piece remains attached to one of the smaller buttons. The Captain shoulder board is lovely velvet, canvas, and bullion and each button features an eagle, The Great Seal of the United States, wings spread clutching arrows and an olive branch in its talons, with "I" embossed on a shield in the center of the eagle.

Bullion, canvas, velvet, brass

Loops on reverse of buttons to be sewn on.

Reverse of large buttons: "EXTRA QUALITY"

8+ (Overall - Excellent): The shoulder board shows moderate wear, nearly all the bullion remains fully intact and bright, the velvet has age/storage wear. The brass buttons show light to moderate wear and a few tiny spots of oxidation.
