ARTIFACT:
This is an early circa 1950 stewardess wing in bullion for British European Airways, which flew from 1946 through 1974. The wing reads BEA against a field of maroon velvet and is topped by a golden crown.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1950.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-3/4" x 2-9/16".
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Wool embroidered in gold bullion with velvet, cotton backing.
