ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950 ground crew hat badge for British European Airways, which flew from 1946 through 1974. Framed by a silver laurel wreath, the letters BEA sit at the center of the wing against a field of maroon, and topped by a silver crown.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/16" x 2-9/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt with plated brass and velour; cloth mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: Four brads holding layers of badge together.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a foreign airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay07/31/19 VAGX10 LABJX12/10

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows a few small spots of very light wear and tarnish ion front and reverse has some oxidation and spots of discoloration.
