This is a large and colorful circa 1947 United States Navy VT-16A jacket patch as deployed on the USS Antietam. The patch shows a plane against a vivid yellow sky doing a perfect and leisurely swan dive while under attack.
VINTAGE:Circa 1947.
SIZE:Approximately 5-3/16" in height and 5-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in silk/cotton threads.
MARKINGS:BURNS- written on reverse.
