This is a circa 1947 Disney-designed United States Navy USS Dogfish SS-350 jacket patch. The patch shows a dog in scuba gear with a startled mermaid in his grasp and reads U.S.S. DOGFISH SS 350.
VINTAGE:Circa 1947.
SIZE:5-1/16" diameter with 15/16" mermaid tail extension.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Felt patch embroidered in silk/cotton threads and muslin backing.
MARKINGS:Stamp on reverse from the sporting goods store which carried the patch.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): Patch is in nice shape and has a few small pinholes in the felt.
