This is a circa 1942 United States Army distinctive insignia for the 456th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion by Meyer. The DI reads WE LEAD THE WAY and shows a white parachute with a cannon logo descending with a missile against a nicely enameled field of red.
VINTAGE:Circa 1942.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. N.Y.C. with Meyer maker's mark.
