ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1942 distinctive insignia for the Massachusetts State Guard Women's Defense Corps. The DI is nicely enameled in red white and blue and reads PARATUS AT FIDELIS (ready and loyal).
VINTAGE:
Circa 1942 (World War II).
SIZE:
Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch..
