ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1942 distinctive insignia for the Massachusetts State Guard Women's Defense Corps. The DI is nicely enameled in red white and blue and reads PARATUS AT FIDELIS (ready and loyal).

VINTAGE: Circa 1942 (World War II).

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch..

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII US Army DI collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VGX14 LHEX6/14

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The DI has little wear.
