ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1943 distinctive insignia for the Massachusetts State Guard Women's Defense Corps. The DI is nicely enameled in red white and blue and reads PARATUS AT FIDELIS (ready and loyal).

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II (circa 1943).

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

STERLING.

ITEM NOTES:
