This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army Signal Corps Replacement Center. The DI is a torch with two orange lightning bolts crossed behind and reads DISCIMUS UT SERVIAMUS (We learn so that we may serve).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK STERLING and maker's mark.
