This is a circa 1930s French Maritime League (Ligue Maritime Française/LMF) beret badge. The LMF was established to regulate and foster France's national navy as well as merchant shipping. It is oval and is nicely enameled with a golden anchor at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety pin, saddle.
MARKINGS:None.
