Description
Circa 1971 Scouts Unitaires de France beret badge. The Scouts Unitaires is a Catholic scouting group which formed in 1971 with a civic goal towards improving the education of children and youth to help them become "citizens healthy, happy and helpful," according to Lord Baden-Powell, a lieutenant-general in the British Army and founder of the scout movement, and first Chief Scout of The Boy Scouts Association. The shield-shaped badge shows a fleur de lis in the center set atop a cross potent (aka "crutch cross", "Scout cross") and the bottom depicts a scroll with the embossed letters: "SF" on either end.
