This is a round mail badge from the Chicago Union Stockyards, which was a large, independent mail handling center in Chicago.

Circa 1900.

1-1/2" diameter.

Nickel-plated brass.

Vertical pin with one-piece safety catch.

"C. U. S. MAIL / 1938".
