ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1880 bottle wood mold for Moxie Nerve Food. Moxie was first marketed in 1878, sans carbonated water, as a medicine by Dr. Augustin Thompson of Union, Maine, and later as a soda. The bottle is in a pale green glass with wonderful inclusions and bubbles. It has an early "blob" or "donut top".
VINTAGE:
Circa 1880.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-1/8" in diameter and 9-3/4" in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Glass.

6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The bottle shows some light wear with a minor ding at bottom and light scratches. Wonderful inclusions and bubbles.
