This is a circa 1880s Massachusetts Militia stick pin that was possibly excavated due to its appearance. The head of the pin has the seal of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1880s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Straight pin.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX11 LCHX5/11 SAX2/12
CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The pin shows moderate wear and some areas of oxidation.
