ARTIFACT: Circa 1960 German-made United States Army 24th "Victory" Division Marksmanship Unit jacket patch. The center of the patch shows a bullseye and surrounding it reads: "24TH "VICTORY" DIVISION MARKSMANSHIP UNIT". The unit's motto is 'First to Fight' and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. During the 1960's, after the construction of the Berlin Wall in August of '61, the 24th Division was among those in West Germany that arrived to reinforce the Berlin Brigade.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960.

SIZE: Approximately 5" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered twill cotton/polyester/silk thread, gauze backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto an off duty or shooting jacket.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VIM15 LHEX12/15 SHEX03/23

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows minor to moderate wear, was removed from clothing, colors remain bright.
