This is a shoulder patch for the United States Army 24th Infantry Division worn in Hawaii. The patch is round and brightly colored and shows a taro leaf, which is foliage indigenous to Hawaii (the 24th was formed when the Hawaiian Division disbanded).
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:2-1/4" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Multi-piece felt patch embroidered in cotton/silk threads with silk border/backing.
ATTACHMENT:Stick pin.
MARKINGS:Handwritten tag on reverse.
