This is a circa 1917 1st issue badge for the New Hope Fire Company, of Glenbrook (Stamford), Connecticut. The shield-shaped badge is numbered 89 and has firefighting equipment at the top. It was made by the C.G. Braxmar Company of New York.
VINTAGE:Circa 1917.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:C.G. BRAXMAR CO. 242 W. 56 ST. N.Y.
