Ca. 1860s Fire Department Badge from Portland, Maine or Connecticut

This is an early fire department badge from either Portland, Maine or Portland, Connecticut. The badge shows a fireman's hat and horn at top and is numbered 1.

Circa 1860s.

2" height and 1-3/8" width.

Nickel-plated brass.

Loop catch only (original vertical pin is missing).
