This is a circa 1900-1910 fireman's badge from York Beach, Maine. York is a popular vacation spot in southern Maine that was established in 1624 as Agamenticus (the mountain there still bears that name).
VINTAGE:Circa 1910-1910.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass, painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin (catch is missing).
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:6- (Fine): The badge shows spots of moderate wear and much of the painted lettering has been worn away; the catch is missing.
