This is an unidentified circa World War II small jacket patch, possibly for the United States Navy VPB-121 (Patrol Bombing Squadron 121). It is an embroidered blue twill patch showing a polar bear on the tip of an iceberg, beneath two stars and a constellation.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-15/16" in height and 2-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk thread, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VEX13 LX5/14
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light wear.
