BEING RESEARCHED - Gannett's "High Skies" Pin by Balfour - NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDed

This is an unidentified pin by Balfour that reads GANNETTS HIGH SKIES. The pin is aviation-related, with a winged propeller at its center, and seemingly also newspaper-related as there is what looks to be the front page of a newspaper behind the propeller. This pin is probably linked somehow to the huge Gannett Newspaper dynasty that began in 190Gannett's founder and namesake, Frank Gannett, was known for his philanthropy, in particular toward the aviation industry .

Circa unknown.

Approximately 13/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

Plated brass.

Single screw post with disc backing.
