BEING RESEARCHED - "WAC" Lapel Pin by Balfour - NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDed

This is an unidentified lapel wing, possibly for the Women's Army Corps, showing a crest with the letters WAC against a red field.

Circa unknown.

Approximately 3/8" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

Gold-plated brass with enameled details.

Single screw post with disc backing.

L.G. BALFOUR CO. on backing.

This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. LX1/12

7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows very light wear and tarnish only with one very small spot of enamel missing.

As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
