BEING RESEARCHED - Unidentified "New Departure" Pin - NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDed

This is an unidentified rectangular red pin reading NEW DEPARTURE around a white circle with a number one against a smaller blue circle at its center.

Circa unknown.

Approximately 3/8" in height and 13/16" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Horizontal pin with "C" catch.

BASTIAN BROS. CO. with two maker's marks.

This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VAXL98 LX12/10

7 (Very Fine): The pin shows light crazing and small spots of tarnish as well as a small area where the enamel is missing.
