ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified, possibly circa late 1800s pin-on hat badge in bullion showing crossed oars at its center. The badge is oval and may have been for a Surfman, with a possible link to the US Life Saving Service.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1800s?

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 2-15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt, gold bullion.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VEJX13 LX12/13

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge has only some light wear and moderate tarnishing.
