This is an unidentified hat badge from World War I in the shape of an owl with outstretched wings. The badge is possibly related to French aviation.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height and 2-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two bendable tabs.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. MEX97 LX6/11
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows light wear and tarnish.
