This is a beautiful World War II era United States Army Air Forces Type II flight surgeon wing. The wing is by Orber, and has a large raised caduceus at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height by 3" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING BY ORBER.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX12 LDEJX11/12 SDEJX12/13
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The wing shows some small areas of light to medium wear and tarnish.
