Description
This is a circa 1943 United States Army Air Forces Type 1 flight surgeon wing in gilt brass by A. E. Company of Utica, New York. The wing shows a caduceus flanked by a pair of spread wings. The wing has a wonderful luster and some small coppery areas.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II (circa 1943).
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height by 3-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with clutch-backs.
MARKINGS:A.E. CO. UTICA N.Y. within a triangle on back of wing and caduceus; A.E. CO. UTICA N.Y. on back of wing.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows some light wear and has a nice lustre.
