Description
Beautiful late 1940's - Korean War era United States Navy Mine Squadron Three Japanese-made fine porcelain, hand painted ashtray. The center shows an eagle perched atop a mine bearing the number "3" in gold detail. The outer edge of the ashtray reads: "MINE SQUADRON THREE", "WHERE THE FLEET GOES - WE'VE BEEN" in blue painted detail. The underside shows a maker's mark that reads: "FUKAGAWA ARITA HAND PAINTED"
