ARTIFACT:

This is a Korean War-era Japanese-made jacket patch made for the United States Naval Munitions Depot at Ryuku Islands, Japan. The patch shows an armed and winged dragon-like creature and reads NAMD.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950 - 1954.

SIZE:

5-5/16" diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered patch with multi-colored cotton.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto Uniform or Flight Clothing.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): Patch has very hard-to-see discoloration in one spot but has retained its vibrant original coloring.
