ARTIFACT:
This is a large, beautiful circa 1910s worker identification badge for the Michigan State Telephone Company. Started in 1904, Michigan State was part of American Telegraph and Telephone Company for years. The badge is enameled in blue and white and was made by Bastian Brothers of Rochester, New York.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1910s.
SIZE:
Approximately 2" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gilt and enameled brass.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with tongue-style C catch.
MARKINGS:
BASTIAN BROS ROCHESTER.
