ARTIFACT:

This is beautiful member's badge of the Wanamassa Fire Co. This badge has a 2 in the middle of it, which stands for the Fire District #2, otherwise known as the Township of Ocean, NJ. An eagle is perched atop the badge.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920's.

SIZE:

Approximately 2" in height x 1-1/4".in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel plated brass

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in locking catch.

MARKINGS:

Obverse: "MEMBER WANAMASSA FIRE CO.TWP. OF OCEAN. Reverse: "THE C.G. BRAXMAR CO. 216 E. 45 ST. N.Y.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a Fire Dept. Badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDZ12 LAAEX01/17

CONDITION:

9+ (Near Mint-): This badge is in near mint condition. There is almost no wear aside from very minor scratches on the obverse.
