Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a beautiful circa 1920s Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey Active Fire Co. No. 1 fireman's badge. The badge was made by C.G. Braxmar of New York in nickel-plated nickel.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-9/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

C.G. BRAXMAR CO. 242 WEST 55 ST. N.Y.
