1970 USN Ship Lighter Presented by Commanding Officer Capt. W.H. Harris of USS Coral Sea CVA-43

This is a circa 1970 United States Navy ship lighter for the USS Coral Sea CVA-43, an aircraft carrier launched on April 2, 194Adopted by the Golden Gate City in 1967, the carrier was known as "San Francisco's Own". The lighter was presented by Commanding Officer W.H. Harris. It is engraved with the owners initials, BEV, and has an applied enamel medallion. The lighter was made by Penguin of Japan.

Circa 1970.

Approximately 2-3/16" in height and 1-1/4" in width and 7/16" in thickness.

Chrome-plated brass, enamel.

To be carried in pocket to light your smokes.
