This is a circa mid-1950s Japanese-made jacket patch for the United States Navy USS Coral Sea CVA-43, an aircraft carrier launched in April 194 This patch shows a Grumman F-9F Cougar fighter aircraft flying above the vessel.
VINTAGE:Circa mid-1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads, muslin backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
