Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a late 1950s Japanese-made jacket patch for the US Navy USS Bon Homme Richard CVA-31 aircraft carrier. The patch shows the ship outfitted with a pair of wings and reads I HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT DON'T TREAD ON ME U.S.S. BON HOMME RICHARD CVA-31.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 19502.

SIZE:

6" diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

6 (Fine+): Patch shows wear around edge and has some moderate discoloration at top front.
