This is a beautiful mid-1950's US Navy USS Bluegill (SSK-242) Submarine jacket patch. This patch was Japanese made and it depicts a rather angry submarine throwing a torpedo off of the patch towards an unseen enemy, while holding a second torpedo in the other hand ready to fire.
VINTAGE:Mid 1950's.
SIZE:Approximately 5" in height x 5-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Machine embroidered silk on cotton.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto deck jacket.
