This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States Army Air Defense Artillery School by Ira Green. The DI has a winged projectile above a V of thunderbolts at its center and reads MILITANT.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:IRA GREEN INC. G23.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LAJX12/11
CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The DI shows some small spots of light wear and tarnish with some minor crazing to the enamel.
