This is a 1960s distinctive insignia by Ira Green for the United States Army 71st Air Defense Artillery. The DI shows five projectiles standing against three chevronels and reads UNDIQUE VENIMUS (we come from all over). The chevronels are from the coat of arms of John Winthrop, founder of Boston, where the 71st originated.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:G-23 IRA GREEN INC. MADE IN U.S.A.
